Italien kröner sina digitala tvillingmästare: Höjdpunkter från den nationella färdighetstävlingen

På May 27th, Italy hosted a high-stakes National Skills Competition dedicated to the future of industrial innovation. Five talented teams faced off in a series of technical challenges designed to test their mastery of the Digital Twin on Smart Manufacturing curriculum.

The Challenge: From Virtual Reality to Green Transition

The competition was structured around 8 core subjects extracted from the project’s comprehensive MOOC (Massive Open Online Course), which offers over 450 hours of specialised training. The five participant teams were tasked with solving real-world industrial problems by applying advanced concepts in Virtual Commissioning, Virtual Maintenance, Business Intelligence, Virtual Environment, Cybersecurity, Other Technologies, Green Transition, Entrepreneurship and incubator settings.

These tasks were not just academic exercises; they were designed based on real company challenges to ensure that participants could bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and the needs of the modern labour market.

The Road to the International Stage

After a day of intense collaboration and problem-solving, a winning team emerged: TwinPulse Innovation, composed of Giuseppe, Jacopo, Robert, and Serena. Their journey is far from over: we are incredibly proud of all the participants and cannot wait to see the national finalists from the five nations face off in the International Skills Competition scheduled for October in Italy. This upcoming event will bring together champions from partner countries—Italy, Spain, Sweden, Greece, and Bulgaria—to promote the mobility of Digital Twin technicians across Europe and foster the exchange of excellence

Looking Ahead: Join the 2027 Edition

We are incredibly proud of all the participants and cannot wait to see our national winners face off against the other European teams in October! The success of this event has already inspired us to look toward the future, and planning for the 2027 edition is already underway.

The project is co-funded by the European Union and aims to create a new generation of technicians capable of leading the twin digital and green transitions in the industry.
