Digital Twin Project Presented at RCCI Event “Smart Factories in Ruse”

On 21 January 2026, the Ruse Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) hosted the information meeting “Smart Factories in Ruse”, co-organised with Deloitte Bulgaria, focused on practical approaches to digital transformation in manufacturing and staged implementation with measurable impact.

Virtual connection with The Smart Factory by Deloitte @ Wichita

A key highlight of the programme was the virtual connection with “The Smart Factory by Deloitte @ Wichita”. Participants were introduced to the concept of a demonstration environment where digital, physical, and experimental capabilities intersect to support companies in planning sustainable investments and taking first steps in digital transformation.

The session also included direct Q&A with the factory’s general manager, turning the showcase into a practical dialogue on applicability, expected outcomes, and organisational prerequisites.

Digital Twin project presentation

During the meeting, Svetoslav Minchev (Membership and ICT Projects Manager, RCCI) presented the Digital Twin on Smart Manufacturing project, outlining how digital twins can support better modelling, training, and implementation of smart manufacturing approaches.

The audience was also introduced to the project’s learning platform, which supports skills development through self-assessment and modular courses on key topics including Digital Twin, Virtual Commissioning, Virtual Maintenance, Business Intelligence, and Cybersecurity, complemented by prerequisite modules (e.g., 3D CAD, PLC, IoT, Python) and Virtual Labs for practice-oriented learning.
